Happy Birthday in Two Styles

Just a quick post for you today as I am working on
my project for tomorrow's blog hop....
Hope you will plan on joining us!

I put together a shabby-chic style card here.
Beautiful papers from Girls Paperie combined with
all sorts of embellishments and the birthday sentiment
from A Muse Studio 'Birthday Greetings'.
(complete recipe for this card below)

I can honestly say that the design for this card was pretty
much just layering until I was satisfied.
I do have instructions on how to 'build' a shabby-chic
card that you will find over at
Scrapbook News & Reviews...just click HERE.
The faux sewing was done using a terrific zig-zag
border stamp from A Muse Studio 'Mad for Plaids'.

I think the fun brads that were used for flower centerpieces
really were the finishing touches.

These little flags from Girls Paperie were stamped
with the sentiment from A Muse Studio 'Brief Notes'

I made this card for the following challenges:

Muse: Sarah Martina Parker

Double Dutch/Two ribbons/trims

There She Goes #105
3-D Flowers

Yes...very different from the first card.

Love the paper from Bo-Bunny's 'Ad Lib' Collection
and the large rosette was made using Heidi Grace paper.
This lovely sentiment is by, yes you know it....
A Muse Studio 'Celebrate in Style' set.

Don't forget...for a limited time you can get a brand new

I'm going to have to look at your tutorial, because that is some seriously beautiful layering. Love your interpretation of Sarah's card. (Oh, and my mom wanted to order some Amuse stuff the other day, so I sent her over to your site. I hope the new venture is going well!)
