So how are things in your world?
Busy? CrAzY? A little 'nwod edispu'?
(ok, that's supposed to be 'upside down', but
maybe it should have read 'backwards').
Although I found this week's challenge at
The Play Date Cafe extremely challenging,
I ended up in the just the right place for me.
First...here is your challenge....
The colors this week are brought to you by my
extremely talented and 'colorful' friend, Sarah.
I love the English architecture of this building.
Now, for my take on the colors....
A little serenity is always nice.
This week, our sponsor is Innovative Stamp Creations.
They specialize in 'realistic' scenes and I have to
say, this background with the water droplets
is beautiful!
Hope you will have some time to play along with
us this week. I think Sarah's simple explanation of
just how easy this color combo is made sense.
I just wish I had read it before I tried tackling it : )
I will be back later with a few more creative things
to share, including a very special announcement
and a project or two!

Gorgeous background and love the effect of the two tone water. Beautiful card!
Julie,
A beautiful card and I love the butterflies!
Beautifully serene, Julie! Love those darling butterflies and the way you made them pop on the card. Great job with the colors, they were a tad "challenging". Have a great day!
That background IS really beautiful and super realistic. Glad to see you back at it and what a perfect card for you this week! ;)
Beautiful use of this weeks colors! The water background works wonderfully with your lovely dimensional butterflies.
Very serene! Do you think you could send me some?!!! Serenity that is xx
Those raindrops are awesome!
Hi Julie~
What an amazing card! I love the Serenity Prayer...and this picture is serene. The colors could not have been used any better, in my opinion. I LOVE the two sizes of wings on the butterflies, and their more neutral color compared to the Monet like water below them.
Wonderful job!

Very pretty card Julie! Love the butterfly embellishments fluttering about with the pearl centers!
Hi Julie Ranae - what a beautiful card - - - dare I say, so "serene"! But truly - peaceful, quiet, thought provoking (in the blended colors).
I've been so busy - but it hasn't kept me from enjoying your posts even if I've been lazy about commenting on them! Things will get back to more "normal" for awhile now . . .
Hugs!
Great use of the colours. I found them difficult this week too! Just love the raindrops
