'Communication' ..... Graphic45 Style

A new week...a new start...feeling much, MUCH better!
Thank you so very much for your thoughts and prayers.
I am glad to be back in my art space and ready to create!
We have become so accustomed to a 'new' way of communicating with one another, I mean, here were are 'blogging'. Thought I would give us a peek into the past with Graphic45.
I am so excited about these great papers! I looooove vintage. I have said it before and I'll say it again. Anything vintage, retro and of course, shabby chic.
Graphic45
offers it all.
This collection 'Communique' is so fab! Double-sided so it all coordinates. Besides the layers from the collection, I added some Martha Stewart vintage ribbon, some hand-me-down buttons & trim and teeny, tiny silver flat back embellishments. Yes, it took a bit to get all 22 on the scallop, but totally worth it....
look at that dimension!
Hope you will get yourself some Graphic45!
I have more to share with you later in the week...and look for it soon as one of my 'Friday Night Features'!

Glad to tell you that our new design team is in place and they are raring to go! I am finishing up the logo for the weekly challenges and arranging our prizes, so spread the word...
'The Play Date Cafe' will open soon!

I will be back tomorrow to catch up on a few other things, but until then here is something I want to know about you...
Halloween is just around the corner. I know some of you celebrate BIG TIME, costumes and all. Let's pretend that we ALL do...for this Halloween, if you could be ANYTHING YOU WANTED TO BE, who or what would be your costume? I can tell you that I would go as Marie Antoinette. Love the color, love the luxe, love it all!
How about you? Leave me a comment....we'd ALL love to know!

A Glimpse Inside...

Good morning everyone! I thought this morning I would share with you a little glimpse in to the chaos which is my art studio. Actually, these photos represent a few of my favorite things. I love ribbon...love, love, LOVE it. I have 3 drawers full of it as well as my glass jars and a vintage suitcase. I would say right now that the ratio is 30% gets used in my projects and 70% is collected for my personal amusement. The Marie Antoinette card above is one of four that I own by Nancy Maxwell James over at Sugarlump Studios...don't you just love that name?
I must have 100's of packages of unopened embellishments, so every few days it's like Christmas as I go through all the packages to see what I can use. Don't you just love finding things you didn't know you had?!
A small stash of my paper rolls. I must admit I haven't played with these lately, but I think it's because some have such a sentimental attachment. Many of them I purchased with my UK friend Sarah when she came for a week-long visit. We spent the most amazing day in Chicago and could barely get into the taxi with all of our bags...and by the way, I drove to Chicago. The only reason we needed a taxi was because we also could not WALK to my car with said bags!
Then there's my vintage trims that I save for very special projects. Some I acquired from my grandma who lived most of her senior years in front of a sewing machine. Her love of sewing didn't quite rub off on me, but her creativity certainly did!
Will be back later with another post and something creative to show you. In the meantime, what's your favorite 'pretty little embellishment' in your creative space? I would love to know!
