Bon Voyage with CAS-ual Fridays

Happy Friday !  WooHoo !

Even though I work from home, I still feel that sense of
'TGIF' because well . . . we all do, don't we ? !

I am coming to you tonight representing

They are sponsoring this week's brand new challenge over at

The theme is 'On the Sea' and I am loving it because
I have been playing with one of Pink Paislee's older
collections 'Nantucket', all week long !

I embossed my Gina K Designs cardstock using this great
diamond pattern from LifeStyle Crafts.  I love how it matches the
background panel from PP.  The small dies cuts were just perfect.

For me, nothing says 'On the Sea' like a beautiful old ship.

I hope you'll be able to play along this week with the
talented designers over at CAS-ual Fridays because
StopandScrap.com is providing a
terrific discount to everyone who does !
You will find the
discount code
over at the challenge along with a
whole lotta inspiration !

Thanks for stopping by today . . . I'd love to know you came by,
so please say hello  : )

'Fish'ing for Color

Welcome back to The Open Window !

It's time for another beautiful color challenge from

We worked with deep, delicious colors this week

Burnt Sienna . . . Mustard . . . Slate

As soon as I saw the color story, I knew I was going to pull out
the fabulous designs from Pink Paislee's 'Nantucket' collection.

If you follow me on FB at all, you know that Paul and I have recently
started a fresh-water aquarium . . . well, and now we have two !  LOL
So I am a bit obsessed with marine-life images
{which you will see in the coming days}

This card was simply all about adding layers on top of the
stamped 'advertising'.

You will not beLIEVE the inspiration over in The Cafe !
I know I say that a lot, but each week, I am more amazed
than the next.  Stunning creativity by some of
the best designers
in the world!

Look who's sponsoring this week . . .

YOU could be this week's 'Cup of the Week' !
I'll see you there !

Welcome to the Soiree!

For my Guest Post with
Little Yellow Bicycle
please scroll down

I think by the looks of this card, SOMEone is getting ready to
have a BIG celebration!!

Yep!
It's a surprise birthday party for Korin Sutherland,
the very sweet owner and designer of Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps!!
In true surprise party fashion, we are celebrating a day early
to keep it a real secret.

If you arrived here from my talented friend
you are in the perfect spot not to miss a thing.

If you'd like to make sure you visit each designer
who is partying with us today, then make sure you visit
and make each stop along the party route.

I broke out the Pink Paislee 'Soiree' collection to create today's card.
I simply cut bits and pieces out of the paper and then layered matching
dimensional stickers along the way.

I really hope you will be able to visit each blog on the party route.
A complete list of blogs is listed below.

Of course, please stop by and wish dear Korin a very happy birthday!

Thanks for swinging by...hope you found some colorful inspiration
today here at The Open Window.

Celebrate!

Since this is my first post of the 2012, let me wish you a....

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

What a great way to kick things off, with the
first challenge of 2012 over at

and how fun because YOU could be one of our 'Temps'
as a Guest Designer!
All the details are over at CAS-ual Fridays!

This week's challenge is to use chipboard and mine are from
Pink Paislee's 'Soiree' collection.  They are actually dimensional stickers
which I am calling chipboard 'light' : )
I've embossed the background with the large Polka Dot EF from
Cuttlebug and stamped this fun sentiment from Paper Smooches.

We are super excited to have

as this week's sponsor and don't forget, not only will this week's
winner have a fantastic shopping spree from Simon Says Stamps
but they will also win a spot as a Guest Designer

Can't wait to see you there!!!
