So 'Nauti-Cool' !

Happy Monday and what a fun continuation of my weekend!

I have had the honor being the Guest Designer over at

and today is a set that has quickly become a favorite
in my personal collection called 'Knotty'

I made use of some of my favorite die cuts from Lil' Inker Designs
and Die-Versions to spotlight these fun stamps.
I think the design speaks for itself and the recipe is at
the end of this post.

and of course . . .

I head back to the Clean and Simple design . . .

I love the colors using the kraft base and the beautiful
soft robin's egg blue.
I embossed the top panel using an EF from Lifestyle Crafts.
The accent lines on the base card were stamped along with the
anchor, waves & sentiment from the set.

Here's the fabulous set that has so many possiblities . . .

I love the tiny waves !

I'll be back for one more day {Wednesday}
with my final post for Avery Elle.
I've had a ball so far and I hope you will stop
and say hello !

What a Lovely RAK!

Do you recognize these die cuts?
If you are a Tim Holtz fan, then I know you do!
I have been wanting these fabby die cuts
since they burst out on the scene, but have been
struggling to find them locally.

Suzanne, who is one of our design team members
over in The Cafe 'heard me fussing' one day and asked
if I would like to have her cut a few of them for me and
she would send them my way.  What a kind thing to offer
and of course I said YES!

Here's what arrived....

and this.....

and this....

oh, and this...

and accompanying it all, her lovely handiwork...

Suzanne lives just down the road from me
(well, maybe 75 miles or so)
and I was so surprised when the package arrived.
I can't wait to play with my goodies and of course
Suzz's card will now take it's place on my shelf of
'famous creative people I know'   : )
(yes, I do have several of those shelves)

Thank you for such a lovely kindness, Suzanne.
It really made my day!

Check out Suzz's Stamping Spot and see her
creativity in action...you will LOVE it!

My New Toy!

It would not surprise me if I was the last person on earth to have one of these, but I finally have my very own Cuttlebug die cut and embossing unit. I have been using my original Sizzix over the years and decided it was time to make things a bit easier on myself. Now I know for a fact that there are some new die cutting units getting ready to be 'unleashed' on the community, but I've been watching everyone's "can't live without" lists and this little machine is at the top of most.

I decided to share my inaugural creation with you before I go back and start on some new projects. One of my favorite parts of this card is the polka dot brad in the center. Nothing to do with the die cut....I just like it! It's simple but elegant, I think. I like it enough that I will put it in my Etsy store.

In the meantime, I haven't forgotten about my promise from last evening. In fact, I had several comments left for me showing a great interest in some of my new favorite blog sites. So I am looking forward to sharing that list with you later this evening.

My husband is pulling an all-nighter at Barnes & Noble in hopes of doing some major relocation of some of the sections in the store, so I will have some alone time to spend with you. By all-nighter, I mean he is not expected home until at least 3am. Now I can't promise that I will be awake at that time 'chatting' here with you, but I will be back soon and I hope you will join me!
