{goin'} Dotty at The Twinery

It's a busy day indeed, here at The Open Window !

You know I LoVe being the Design Team Coordinator over at

and I LoVe a great challenge, so what could be better than

combining the two ! ! !

That's right !  

The Twinery is challenging YOU to get

your ' Polka...Dot ' on by creating with our baker's twine

using the theme POLKA DOTS.

Twice a month, there will be a new challenge for you.

All the details are over on the blog and the prize is pretty fab !

You have until the end of the month to play and our designers

will be there to inspire you along the way.

I knew immediately that I wanted to create banners stamped with

polka dots so I could hang them from braided twine.

For my card, I used die cuts & stamps from Sizzix & Stephanie Barnard.

The paper is the new ' Hope ' collection from Authentique

and the baker's twine I chose was

It was a perfect match for the colors in this beautiful paper.

Speaking of polka dots . . .

My grandson Alex jr was over this afternoon playing a little a
game with his dad.  All I heard was this sweet voice shouting
" HURRY UP DADDY "
and here is what I found  . . .

Apparently, daddy was spinning the wheel a little too slowly
so this was the result just moments later . . .

{it's a busy day here today }

I am so glad you came by for a very special celebration

and I'm so happy to be a part of it.

My friend Korin is celebrating her 5th Birthday

as owner of Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps

and it's quite a party !

I love the friendships I've made through my blog

and this is one I've had for a couple years now.

Korin is a creative designer and offers a variety of

images that appeal to so many styles.

I've been designing pretty Clean & Simply lately

and 'Forest Silhouettes' makes it really easy.

I had lots of ideas and settled on this one using

Memento inks.  This is a great set for Christmas too !

I want to wish a 

BIG HAPPY BIRTHDAY

to Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps !

Last week, the sad announcement was made that EAD

would be closing their 'web' doors this month.

I will miss my Monday visits via our blog hop  : (

This is such a fun, geometric Stickerz set from EAD called

'Your Birthday'

I love the idea of bold, black graphics with red, don't you ?

I kept this really clean and SIMPLE for sure, as I used

Bazzill's swiss dot cardstock, so no embossing for me !

I embellished with the additional gems and that's it !

I also used this set on my Halloween card a couple

weeks ago and thought I would share it here, just in

case you missed it.  I love the 'bubbles' !

It's that time again...Clean and Simple with

What a FUN challenge...create something Clean and Simple

and....'pun-ny'

This week, our design team were given great sets from our sponsors

Skipping Stones Designs.

They know how to keep the puns going....

Anything with a handbag will get my attention.

I did a little paper-piecing for this challenge using new papers

from Lilybee Designs.

The stamp set is called 'Birthday Purses'.
