It's a Retro Date with Sweet Stamp Shop!

It's Day #2 of
New Release Blog Hop Week at
If you've made your way here by way of the
very creative
the you are right where you should be!
If not, I invite you to start back at the
beginning of the hop at the

Because it's a hop and during new release week,
you have a chance to win
the featured set each day,
all you have to do is......
Visit each blog and leave some love

As I worked on this card, I couldn't help but think about
my teen years in the 70's.
Having to adjust the 'rabbit ears'
to get a decent picture...and although this new set called
'Watchin' TV'
comes with a remote control image, it was only
a 'dream' that such a thing might exist!

Do you remember the terrific NBC series
'American Dreams'?
It was on several years ago taking us through
the years of the 60's.
I absolutely adored that show because it was
like watching parts of my own life on screen.
So this terrific stamp set really has been
great fun for me to play with and I
know you are going to like it too!

No paper-piecing this time around
{as has been my MO lately}
but I did use a little My Mind's Eye to create
a fab wallpaper and floor that has a retro feel.
I just colored and shaded the TV with a couple
of Copics and wa-la!!
The fun plaque on the wall is also from MME.
I hope you are enjoying the 'sneak peeks' from
Sweet Stamp Shop this week and
I appreciate that you stopped by...

Don't forget to leave a comment before
you move on to the next designer and make sure
to visit each blog on the hop...here is the hop list for today:

I liked how you faded the two papers together using the heart cut out to overlap the herringbone...It reminded me of the actual BW TV patterns you used to see when the channels would start or stop... yeah dating myself here :) fun card.

To think we used to have to get off of the comfy couch to change a channel! HA!!! Fun card Julie love the colors. Your sentiment has me singing that song...from the 60's, 70's not sure but it's in my head!!!

What an adorable card. Love the dp and that tv. We were just talking the other day about how we had to move to change channels. Seems like a lifetime ago.

Fabulous, Julie! And doesn't the floor have a bit of a "test pattern" feel to it? I had to look twice to believe the tv console wasn't paper-pieced!
