Are not these papers beautiful? These are from the new Autumn Splendor collection from Making Memories and I L*O*V*E them! There's glitter, patterns, die-cuts and foils.
On this card, I used the glittered wheat sheaths paper as a border. It's hard to see in the photo, but it's just lovely. To make a nice backdrop for the photo, I used one of the die cut papers.
The stamps are from Inkadinkado and the embossing powder is metallic bronze from JudiKins.
Now on to the next batch of yummy.....

These unbelievably cool papers are from GCD Designs. The set is called Provence and I can't wait to get my hands on these. All the papers in this collection are linen-finish, they almost feel like wallpaper. They are two-sided so coordinating will be so easy.
Now...here's a new little tidbit about your host here at The Open Window. One of these days, I want to be able to say that I looked out an open window in Provence. I love all things french, but I want to go and experience Provence in the worst way.
As you can tell by my reading material, I have spent some time 'lapping up' all I can about the region. I have many coffee-table books on the subject as well, but they were too heavy to hike up on the table! It was Peter Mayle's 'A Year in Provence'
that first whet my appetite.
(Sarah...do you recognize the Van Gogh book below?)

So as I close out this post for Friday, here is my question for you...where in the world would you like to go, if you could go anywhere in the world? If you have already lived that dream, I would love to hear about it...especially if you've been to Provence. Leave me a comment and let's 'travel together'....
see you Saturday!

Hi Julie, Thanks for visiting. You always have such great stuff on your blog for us to admire. Keep sharing about the construction crisis. We all really feel for you. Have a great weekend.
Very pretty card Julie! You sure are a vintagey girl at heart! :) I haven't been to Provence but I have been to other cities in France. I really loved Southern France, Eze, Nice & Monaco. I am looking forward to seeing Australia and Hong Kong soon! Thanks for sharing those gorgeous papers & your love for Provence! :)
Hey Julie,
Cool papers and neat to learn a bit more about you. Having a dream makes you closer to living it, I think. I have been to Denmark, Sweden and England and I never thought I would see these places. And all thanks to my brother. But I would love to go to Ireland because it is in my blood.
I certainly do, and it brings back good memories :) What a great selection of papers, my favourite piece is the pears one in the first photo :)
I've always wanted to see penguins in their natural habitat and I've since discovered they have them in New Zealand, another place I'd love to go, so I can combine the two :) Meanwhile I keep my eye open for great penguin images. I have clay ones, drawn ones, screenprinted one...
I would love to go to Alaska. The snow, the wilderness, the wildlife.... Maybe one day soon..... I'll let you know. :)
Hi Julie! Love your beautiful card with it's golden, glittery leaves, and those lovely papers as well. I'd like to go anywhere snowy, being that I'm a cool weather person. I so hope you get to go to Provence one day! ♥ Paulette

Such lovely papers. I will have to look up Provence since you have peeked my interest now. I would love to travel to a lot of destinations. Only leaving Ohio a handful of times, and not seeing much outside of everyday places, the wishful destinations are numerous. To name a few, I am so eager to visit the East Coast again, north of Maryland. I have always dreamed of visiting Kent England as this is where a lot of my ancestors were from. I would love to venture to Venice, Greece, India, Australia, and Bora Bora. My ultimate dream of travel is time travel. Hey, one can dream, right?
:O)
