It really is shaping up to be a busy day here at
The Open Window...so let's get it started!
I am happy to let you know that each Wednesday, I will be posting a new project that I have completed with one of the newest stamp sets offered by Artful INKables.
Today I have chosen to tie my project in with this week's

All of the details on how you can participate and possibly win an AI grab bag are posted over on the AI Blog, so head on over and get your creative juices flowin'!

This week's challenge is being hosted by Joy over at
Crazy for Daisies.....Red, White & Black.
I used the 'Fun & Friendly' set and had a lot of fun with it.
This project took on a real 'vintage' feel by the time it was finished...don't you think so?

The background papers that I used are from an old stash that I had, so I am not even sure who designed them. From there, it's just layers and layers which were all 'corner-rounded' and distressed with 'Mushroom' ink from Ranger Adirondacks to add a bit of interest.
The black ribbon is from American Crafts and the rick-rack is from my collection of vintage ribbons and trims. I used the Martha Stewart Loop punch and 'The Bug' for my scalloped center, which was embossed with the Swiss Dot EF.
To finish it off with a little more dimension,
I added a bit of bling on the whisk.

I hope you with join the AI Design Team as we bring you these challenges every other Tuesday.
